Dare I say it? "Summer is finally here!" I kicked off this glorious weekend with lunch at the beach with my friends: we headed to the beach after music class for sandwiches and playtime with the gang. Here is Aidan and his mom...Aidan looks anxious to get down and get back to the business at hand (that would be playing in the sand and running on the beach!).
Ella is sitting quietly under the umbrella with a few sand toys observing the mayhem around her. Her mom was the only one who was able to sit peacefully for a moment or two and enjoy her lunch!
Mia is pretending not to pay attention as her mom tries to convince her to eat something (anything!!!). Her sights were set on the sand, water and nonstop action around her. I think she managed to consume a potato chip or two, though...
Somehow I have made it all the way to the water's edge, my favorite spot at the beach these days. Mom tries to do everything in her power to keep my distracted but I always seem to find my way back here. Even though the water is chilly this time of year, I really don't mind. And as soon as it is warm enough to have my swimsuit on, there will be no stopping me. Poor mom...
Mia's enjoying this hug...really!!! I am very aware of my friends these days and do not hesitate to show my affection. As Mia is one of my BFF's, she is often the target of my hugs and kisses. We had such a nice time at the beach and are so excited for more sand-and-water outings throughout the summer.
