Today Mommy and I went to the carnival at Jennings Beach in Fairfield. This is only my second time at a carnival...but it was the first time for me to ride on the rides all by myself. Needless to say, the moment was bittersweet for mommy. Here I am on the pony cart...giddyup!
Check out my very own fire truck, circa 1900...well, maybe not that old but these were certainly VERY old rides. With carnies to match...
I was adamant that I wanted to ride in the Jeep, which will likely be a relic by the time I am old enough to drive (Chrysler?....what's that?)...
Taking off! I was very, very excited to be in the airplane and became quite adept at flying around and around in circles. I think this may have been my very favorite ride.
Chugga, chugga, chugga....choo-choo. The man operating this ride was really, really nice: he let me have a second ride all by myself, which was my first solo ride of the day (first time I went on with mommy). I was very reluctant at first but mommy convinced me that everything would be OK...so I was a big girl and went on all by myself. Mommy and I had a great time at the carnival today and we can't wait to go to more fun festivals this summer. Love, Charlotte

Char-Char, I am so impressed you rode solo on all the rides. I myself would love to go!
