Keeping busy with Brothers

It has been a LLLLOOOOOONNNNNNNGGGGGGG time since our last post...and boy, have we been busy around here! I introduced you to my brothers back in March and mommy and I have been working really hard ever since. Dylan and Beckett are doing great and I love spending as much time as I possibly can with them. Here is a photo of Beckett on his play mat...isn't he cute???

This is Dylan, probably checking out the monkey that is hanging over his head.

Brothers!!! I can usually tell them apart by what they are wearing, though Dylan is still bigger so we are able to keep them straight (most of the time!!).

Normally I am not allowed to lay on the mat, though mom thought it would make a cute photo...so here we are! OK...back to the brothers! Hope to put up more pix and posts soon. Love, Charlotte

Princess

Check out my new princess dress-up costume (actually, 1 of 4), a gift I received for my special, new job of being a big sister. I just LOVE it!!
Looking at my rings...just like mommy has!

I'm ready for the ball!!! Mommy was hoping to delay the introduction of Disney Princesses for a year (or two!) but it looks like that is a losing battle. I haven't fully caught on to the breadth of the Princess line (toys, dolls, DVD's, etc.) but it's only a matter of time...xoxoxo, Charlotte

Easter Egg Roll

Daddy, Nonna and I went to an Easter Egg roll today at Pequot Library in Southport...it was so much fun! Not only did I get to dye eggs and meet the Easter Bunny, I took 1st place in the Egg Roll (among 40 2 year-olds). Here's my "warm-up" video! xoxo, Charlotte

Baby Brothers have arrived...

"I'm SOOOOOOOOOO excited!!!" My baby brothers are FINALLY here: Dylan Walker and Beckett Mitchell arrived shortly before 5:30PM on Saturday, March 27, 2010. And though we were prepared (mom had been going for ultrasounds every 2 weeks throughout her pregnancy!) somehow no one could believe how big those boys were: Dylan weighed in at 7 lbs 12 oz and Beckett at 7 lbs 5 oz. For those of you who have a little trouble with math, that's over 15 Pounds of babies in mommies tummy.

I was so excited to meet my baby brothers...I could hardly contain myself! I finally got to go to the hospital on Sunday (actually, I was there on Saturday night, too, but it was a little too soon for me to see the boys). Here I am with Dad and Beckett in mommy's room.

Dylan, also known as Baby A (that's because he was the first baby to come out!), peaking out of his swaddle during his first hour of life. Such a sweet face!!

Dylan and Beckett side by side...just look at those handsome boys! My baby brothers are home now and we are so happy to be all together. I'm going to do my very best to be a great big sister and cannot wait for the day that Dylan and Beckett are big enough to color with me, to play and have adventures, to ride bikes, etc. Our family is so fortunate and blessed that Dylan and Beckett are healthy, happy and...finally...home. Love, Big Sister Charlotte xoxoxo

A ride on the Easter Bunny train

Hippity, hoppity, Easter's on its waaaaaaaayyyyyyy! In celebration of the upcoming holiday, Mom, Dad and I visited the Railway Museum in Danbury, CT for a special train ride and visit with the Bunny himself.

Here I am hanging out with Mommy on the train: it was a short and uneventful ride but, as a major train enthusiast, I was certainly excited and impressed.

Check out our tickets!!

Daddy's looking out the window at the scenery - mostly other trains in the yard - while I observe the family across the aisle.

Enjoying my chocolate treat from the Easter Bunny! Mommy and Daddy were trying to convince me to wait until after lunch for my treat but I insisted on enjoying it right there on the spot. We had a wonderful time as a family and the weather was just perfect: so loving the early dose of Spring. And something tells me that our next family outing will include my two baby brothers...stay tuned. Love, Charlotte xoxo

More daddy-daughter fun

Spring is in the air and daddy and I decided to take full advantage by spending some time at the Compo Beach playground. Here I am relaxing on the swing!

In addition to swinging, we played in the sand, climbed around on the jungle gym and took a few rides on the slide... I could have stayed there all day. In fact, one of my favorite new expressions, particularly helpful when playing outdoors is, "Just 5 more minutes..."

The good news is that the early spring weather should be around for most of the coming week. That's a great reason to smile! Love, Charlotte xoxoxo

Lunch with Daddy

While mommy enjoyed a few hours yesterday with the girls, it was all about daddy-daughter time. I went with daddy to the barber shop to get his hair cut and then it was off to lunch at Brasitas, one of mommy and daddy's favorite restaurants. I munched on plantain chips, snacked on empanadas and polished it off with a quesadilla. YUMMY!

Thanks so much to daddy for a great afternoon - I can't wait until our next adventure together. Love and Kisses, Charlotte xoxoxo
