Spring Fling

Mia and her parents had the whole gang over yesterday for a party at their house.  The weather was fantastic and we enjoyed a great afternoon together.  Mia and I are "taking turns" on the slide...

Chandler and Ella are enjoying some time in the bouncy ball pit...so much fun.

Scarlett has grown up so much since the last time we saw her!  She had on a beautiful party dress and seemed to enjoy catching up with her pals.

Mia and I are enjoying our dinner: fruit, chicken, veggies and fish sticks.  We even shared cupcakes for dessert....YUM!

Scarlett and Ella are having dinner, too.  All the kids dined together at two kids' tables while the moms and dads sat together at the kitchen table or in the dining room.  Dori made homemade lasagna, which mom and dad said was delicious.  We had such a good time at the Party and I loved catching up with all my friends.  Love, Charlotte

20 Months Old

Here I am on the day I was born (even though it is a little out of focus it is still one of mom's favorite photos)...and the photo below is me at 20 months.  Mom and Dad marvel each day at how fast I'm growing...it is very exciting stuff for them.  These days I'm talking up a storm: I love to point out what everyone is doing and my mom thinks that I have great pronunciation.  I'm still quite active and LOVE to be outdoors!  Thankfully, spring has arrived in CT and we are able to take walks in the neighborhood, to the beach and to the playground.  I am still a good eater and mom still does her best to have me try new foods. I still enjoy fruit, yogurt, peas and, probably my favorite, pizza.  I have frequent playdates with my friends and have continued with swimming and music classes.  My mom and dad are very excited that I will be starting school in September...whatever that is!  But for now, we are all very excited to spend the spring and summer together.  Love, Char Char (this is how I refer to myself these days, always in the 3rd person: "Char Char out," "Char Char food," etc.)

Happy Easter!

It's Easter Morning and we've just peeked at our baskets delivered by the Easter Bunny.  Daddy and I got up early this morning, while mommy slept in a bit...so I've been waiting patiently for my Easter treats.  Here I am holding my new lamb and fuzzy, yellow chick.

Check out my basket!  In addition to the aforementioned lamb and chick, I also received two books, some chocolates and beautifully decorated wooden eggs.  Mommy read me the books this morning and I was even allowed to have a few bites of chocolate eggs...mmmmmm.

Mommy is attempting to get me to pay attention to the camera, though I am not complying.  I've had my nap and now we're heading out for an Easter lunch at one of mom and dad's favorite restaurants, The Dressing Room.  I'm excited because it will be my first time eating here.

We're here and daddy and I are walking up the path!  Everyone is hungry and looking forward to a relaxing meal together as a family.

Yummy - macaroni and cheese!!!  Mommy and Daddy are having lamb, ham and other goodies while I am enjoying my macaroni and cheese with sliced apples.  I was very well-behaved and patient during lunch, sitting for almost an hour and a half while we all had our meal.  I even had dessert: homemade cookies-and-cream ice cream with M&M's on top!  And to think, last Easter I was still eating pureed peas and mashed bananas.  Hooray for real food!  Wishing everyone a very happy Easter!  Love, Charlotte

Almost feels like spring!

Mommy and I really enjoyed our afternoon outdoors today.  I got to ride my bike...

...play outside with the dogs...

...and go to the playground!  Here I am climbing up the slide platform all by myself!

I was a bit tentative about going down the slide all by myself so mommy climbed up and slid down with me.  Too bad we don't have a photo of this...

And check me out on the "big girl" swing!!  I don't quite understand how to make the swing go on my own so mommy still gave me a push here and there.  We made the most of our sunny day since the next few days are supposed to be rainy around here.  I hope the weather doesn't keep the Easter Bunny away!!!  Love, Charlotte

Beach Day!

Mommy enjoyed a great afternoon at the Compo Beach Playground while daddy recuperated at home.  Daddy played basketball this morning and twisted his ankle...he even had to go to the Emergency Room to have it checked out (it's just badly sprained).  Today is our first real spring day here in Connecticut and Mommy and I spent a couple of hours at the playground and walking on the beach.
