Pre-Halloween FUN!

We kicked off the week leading up to Halloween with a big Parade on Saugatuck Island.  We started at the beach at the end of our street, then we walked around the Island and then back to the beach.  Lucky for me, I was fortunate enough to have been pulled in my wagon.  Above is a photo of me with mom, along with a few kids from the Island.  I am sporting my pink Monster costume and mom is dressed up as a Little Devil; Dad, who is taking the photo, was dressed as Joe the Plumber (not sure who he is but mom and dad thought that they were being pretty clever!)

Even though I didn't have to walk, all the excitement and fresh air must have been too much for this Little Monster!  Here I am passed out in my wagon...daddy found a shady spot for me to rest while all of the older kids got a whack at a pinata filled with candy.  The Parade was a really nice event that was fun for the whole family. Can't wait until next year!!

Don't these kiddies look excited?  Mom and Dori decided to dress up me and Mia in our costumes today for a chilly walk down Main Street in Westport.  While the older kids ran through the streets getting candy from local merchants, Mia and I hung out in our strollers watching all the action.  Mia looked great in her cowgirl costume... I am, once again, dressed as a monster.  Something tells me I'm going to be pretty fed up with this costume before the week is out.

But until then...here I am in the park after the Westport Halloween Parade.  Since I have been confined to my stroller for an extended period of time, I am now sufficiently rested and ready  for mommy to chase after me for several minutes.

And now it's off to daddy's office for more Halloween fun!

Here I am at daddy's office for the Bridgewater Halloween Party.  Daddy was really happy to see me and to bring me around his office.  We had a really exciting day and it was so much fun to see daddy at work (even though I didn't get to eat any candy).  I was really tired when we got home and mommy explained that I have to get a good night's sleep so that I'm rested up for my party tomorrow.  Get ready for another dose of PINK MONSTER!!  :o)

Under the Big Top!

Yesterday, my dad, mom and I went to the Ringling Brother's Circus...it was so much fun!  Here is a photo of the three of us right before the show.  We had seats right up front and were able to see all of the acts, animals and excitement perfectly.

Mom and I were able to actually be a part of the Circus, standing out in the big ring with several other families and lots of clowns.  We got to sing and dance and ride around the entire arena in a big tea cup!!  So cool...

We loved these amazing acrobats who performed together.  They were able to contort themselves in so many interesting ways...

I was very, very excited to see the elephants perform...it was really great.  We saw so many animals at the Circus: elephants, zebras, dogs (still my favorites), tigers, horses and goats.

During intermission I got to see my friend Chandler, who was also at the Circus with his mom and dad.  Chandler was also quite enthralled with all of the action...mom and dad think we'll enjoy it even more in a few years!  It was a great day with the family.  Love, Charlotte

My Spooky Glasses

We are certainly in the Halloween spirit here at our house.  Last week mommy and I went to Chandler's house for a pre-Halloween playdate... so much fun!  Chandler and his mommy gave us some goodies to take home and inside the bag were these really spooky glasses.

My mom thought they would look great with my PJ's and so she's trying to convince me to try them on.  I am still trying to figure out if I can see with them on so I only have them on for a second or two, just enough time for her to try to get the camera in focus!

She got me!!  And how scary do I look??!  I'm starting to get the hang of this whole Halloween thing and I'm definitely excited about all of the events we have coming up to celebrate.  Keep checking back for more posts.  Love, Charlotte P.S. Chandler, my mom was wondering if you think I look scarier than Luey in my glasses?  Perhaps we need a photo of him, too, to put up here next to mine.  :o)

Hey There Pumpkin!

So how do you like my pumpkin outfit?  My Great Aunt Connie sent this to me in the mail as a present for Halloween...and I absolutely LOVE wearing it - even the hat!

Mom has promised me that we will go to pick out our very own pumpkins this weekend!  I'm not really sure what a pumpkin is...all I know is that mom is allergic to them if she eats one!  Why would she want to do that??!

I happily wore the pumpkin outfit all afternoon until bedtime...then put it on again this morning as soon as I got up.  Something about that smiley, orange face makes me feel so happy!

Picking Apples

On Thursday we spent the afternoon picking apples at Silverman's Farm.  It was a beautiful fall day and mommies and babies alike had the chance to get some fresh air and pick fresh apples right off the tree!  Here's Mia and her mommy getting ready for our adventure.

"OK, mom...I'm ready!  Let's get this wagon rolling."

Olivia is hanging out in her wagon enjoying her snack, apparently not so anxious to get to the task at hand.  But once we started picking, she was happy to help out her mom.

And here's the baby wagon train.  Everyone is raring to go...well, maybe Chandler is not so sure about this.  His mom, who's birthday we celebrated that afternoon, even brought his special wagon from home.  Nevertheless, he seemed determined not to sit in it for more than a few seconds...

Ella really seems to have the hang of it!  My mom is certain that her mom, who is a great cook, is going to make a delicious pie with the apples that they bring home from today.

I can't wait to come back to Silverman's to pick out some pumpkins!!!
